How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Please also note that email is not a secure form of communication so please refrain from including private information in emails as much as possible.

In order to be fully transparent with you, we want you to know that while we enjoy blogging as much as the next folks, part of our motivation in running this site is for selfish reasons – we not only want to help you, the user, but we also want to generate income for our family. That being said, please know that we would never, ever recommend a product that we have not personally used or don’t believe in. In some cases, we have items we love that we purchase from local stores that are not available online, but we want to link you to a similar product that you would be able to see online so that you know what referring to. In those few cases, we may not have tried that specific brand ourselves, but we have done our best in researching the available online options to find you the closest possible product available to what we are buying.
